What the hell?

In the name of Allah, the most gracious and merciful

Assalamualaikum and good day all,

I decide to take sometime off my busy schedule to write something that actually I intended to post last week. It’s going to be about Narr or  ”hell” in English. Lets hope that this entry could serve as a good reminder to all of us to not disobey our creator (in anyway possible) and lets pray that we are amongst those who will be save from the hell fire.

Well, if you open the book of wisdom, you’ll see plenty of verses explaining what narr is (you’ll see some of them later). Narr, like all of us, is Allah’s creation. It’s a creature that was created by Allah for the Kafir and those who disobeys Him (penderhaka to be exact). It exist now, even as we speak, sleep, read, etc., and it will stay in existence for eternity (without being harm in anyway). It was mentioned in the Quran that the narr has several names. They are:

1) Narrun-Hawiyah:

- A deep trench

- Those who falls into it will never be able to climb back up.

- A place for those who has very little deeds (ringan timbangan amalannya).  This was mentioned in the Quran in surah al-Qariaah: 8-11.

2) Narr- Laza

- It was mentioned in Surah Al-Maariij: 15-18

- A place for those who turns away from the truth and those who gathers wealth without giving zakat.

3) Narrun- Sa’ir (al-Mulk:5)

4) Narrun- Saqar (al-Muddasir: 26-30)

5) Narrun-Hutomah (al-Humazah: 4-9)

6) Narrun-Jahannam (al-Mulk: 6-7)

- The worse place of return for those who disobeys him.

One of the biggest highlights of the hell is, it never rejects any unfaithful and disobedient human beings or stone idols that were plunged into it. In fact, it always requests for more of them as they were its fuel. This was mentioned in Surah Qaf: 30 where according to some Mujahid, it shows that there is no empty space lefts in hell except that they are filled by the kafir, the disobedient and idols.

The question now is, are we going to hell? Yes…if we choose to be amongst the kafir or those who disobeys Him in any aspect of life. And we’ll also be well on our way there if we decide to neglect+ignore any of our responsibilities as a musleem. Remember, Allah’s judgement does not leaned to any of the worldly differences that we make (our wealth, our skin colour, our lineage, our social status ~ Al-Hujarat:13). So my friends, since this is a matter of choice, lets us all make the wise choice of being at the righteous path by following ALL His commandments and putting ALL the faith in Him. Allah SWT have given all of us a stern reminder in Surah at-Tahrim:6 ;

O you, those who have faith, guard yourselves and your families from a fire whose fuel is people and stones(idols). Over it are stern, severe angels who do not flinch from what Allah has commanded them and they do what they are commanded.

My dear readers who are blessed by Allah, we were truly created by Him as His servant aka hamba(not as a minister/president)and therefore it is our responsibility as one to serve his commandments. Remember that our sole purpose of creation is to serve and to do ibadah (beribadat doesn’t exclusively means worship aje tau) to Him like what was mentioned in al-Dzariat:56

Fill you day with amal and dzikir. Hey, even this flower says dzikir to Allah you know.

I hope everybody learns a good lesson from this entry. Lets pray that Allah makes us amongst those who are ever faithful to him and saves us from the hell fire.  If we think we have committed so many mistakes, do seek for forgiveness ASAP (from Him/from anyone you’ve hurt before). Do not hesitate because you never know what will happen to you the next few minutes (or even seconds) after you close this blog (scary isn’t it?). And the next time you/ people said “what the hell?” you got to be thinking, ” Oh, that’s not the way to go man!” Remember: Ku anfusakum wa-ahlikum narra (take care of  yourself and your family from narr)

Wallahua’lam
